On August 10th, the Teatro Greco in Taormina hosted an unforgettable event: a tribute concert to Ennio Morricone, the legendary Italian composer who passed away in 2020. Surrounded by the majestic beauty of the ancient ruins and with Mount Etna as a backdrop, the audience had the opportunity to relive the emotions of the Maestro’s most iconic film scores.

The orchestra, conducted by one of Morricone’s former students, masterfully performed famous pieces like “Once Upon a Time in America,” “Cinema Paradiso,” and “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” Each note evoked memorable scenes from the cinema, taking the spectators on a timeless musical journey.

The Teatro Greco, with its historical charm, provided the perfect setting for this tribute, where the music of Ennio Morricone resonated deeply, leaving an indelible mark on all those present.
