Audemars Piguet unveils a new limited edition of the Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon created in collaboration with haute couture designer Tamara Ralph. Inspired by her aesthetic that blends bold femininity, inexhaustible creativity, and timeless elegance, this limited edition in 18-carat rose gold sparkles with Frosted Gold finishing, reflecting a unique palette of shades ranging from brown and bronze to golden tones.

This collaboration, which will be announced on January 22, 2024, during Tamara Ralph’s fashion show in Paris for the Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture Fashion Week, celebrates the natural synergies between Haute Horlogerie and Haute Couture, reinforcing the bonds that Audemars Piguet has built over the years with numerous creative universes.

A COLLABORATION THAT BLENDS FEMININITY AND MODERNITY

In 2020, Audemars Piguet began a collaboration with fashion designer Tamara Ralph, integrating several of their watches into her Spring/Summer 2021 Prêt-à-Porter collection. This partnership has continued, leading to the recent creation of a boldly feminine Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon in a limited edition. The design of this timepiece is inspired by Ralph’s couture universe, merging bold femininity with timeless elegance.

The Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon, presented during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in January 2024, features an 18-carat pink gold case with a Frosted Gold finish. This finish is achieved by creating tiny indentations on the gold surface with a diamond-tipped tool, resulting in a sparkling effect. The dial showcases a palette of hues ranging from brown to golden tones, inspired by Ralph’s new brand aesthetic that emphasizes a bolder femininity (Audemars Piguet | Swiss Luxury Watches) (Savoir Flair) (A&E Magazine).

Designed in collaboration with Tamara Ralph, the limited edition Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon features an 18-carat pink gold case that sparkles thanks to the Frosted Gold finish. Tiny indentations were created on the gold surface with a diamond-tipped tool to achieve a sparkling effect similar to that of precious stones.

Inspired by the textured details of Tamara Ralph’s haute couture creations, the multi-layered dial in shades of brown, bronze, and gold is finished with a continuous sunburst satin finish. The diamond-set flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock combines technical mastery with a sophisticated aesthetic, enhancing the powerful contrasts and play of light in the timepiece.

The anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the caseback is held in place by an 18-carat pink gold octagonal frame, finished with satin-brushed and polished chamfers and engraved with “Royal Oak Concept Limited Edition.
